Program: General Welding - (Can include: Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced)

Program Description: Welding Technology/Welder. *Certification can take up to 2 to 3 semesters. A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Includes instruction in preparation in various welding techniques, the safe use of metal working equipment, blueprint reading and welding terminology. This course incorporates the California Career Technical Standards for Welding Technology. Articulation agreements with College of the Sequoias have been adopted for Arc and Combination Welding, enabling students to advance to more specialized post-secondary courses.
