Program Description: Certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Environmental Control Technology. Students completing this certificate will acquire these skills: reading electrical schematics** silver brazing, soft soldering, bending/flaring/swaging tubing** recovering/reclaimingl/recycling refrigerant (EPA regulations)** pumping down, evacuating and changing a system** troubleshooting an air conditioner, furnace or freezer, connecting refrigeration gauges** diagnosing refrigeration problems** and fabricating sheet metal fitings. Also available EPA Certification & HVAC for Excellence Certification Exams** Electrical, Air Conditioning, Gas Heating and Heat Pumps.
